Secure Living Environment
Horses should have access to a secure, enclosed living environment. You need to make sure your horses cannot escape and the area that they live in presents no danger to them.
Exercise
Your horse should have access to a paddock. Horses need to exercise every day in their paddock. They should also be allowed the opportunity to graze throughout the day.
Shelter
Horses should have access to appropriate shelter which will keep them comfortable and dry.
Your horse will need to be provided with bedding that is free from dust that they can lie on. Their bedding needs to be cleared out regularly and their living area kept clean.
Keep Your Horse Under Control
You must be able to keep your horse under control in public places.
Safe Transport
If your horses needs to be moved you should arranged for safe and appropriate transported.
Company
Horses should be able to be sociable with other horses. They should be housed with other horses to get the social interaction they need.
Food And Water
You need to regularly check that your horse has access to food and fresh, clean water.
