Hilton Herbs Himalayan Salt Licks are mined from the ancient Khewra Salt Mines, located at the foot of the Himalayan mountains in Pakistan. These unique pink salt licks are one of the purest sources of minerals and trace elements, containing predominantly sodium chloride along with other minerals such as potassium, magnesium and iron. Our licks are mined and transported in a way that is respectful of local mountain people and their main source of income. Due to their 'rock hard' nature, our Himalayan Rock Salt Licks are more weather-resistant than ordinary pressed salt licks, and can be hung up in the field for horses and ponies to help themselves.
