Our Valerian Root Tincture is a traditional preparation that supports a balanced nervous system. The tincture is made by macerating Valerian officinalis in ethyl alcohol (from fermented sugar beet) and water over several weeks. The ratio of water to alcohol varies depending on the plant's constituents/active ingredients. The tincture is a 1:3 ratio of plant material to liquid and has a 45% alcohol to water ratio.
