French link bits soften the effect of a single jointed bit by eliminating the nutcracker action. This is achieved by a shaped flat plate which rests on the horse's tongue. Despite the horse's comfort, the bit still provides excellent control due to the applied poll pressure. This bit from Lorina is made from highly polished stainless steel to prevent rusting and improve durability. The 3 ring bit should be used with two reins; one on the lower, smaller ring, the other on the main snaffle ring.
